➌ Give the water a good stir so that it stops boiling, yet the temperature stays between 195 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
Many of the conventional coffee producers exhaust the lands by indiscriminate use of artificial fertilizers to increase the productivity, thus depleting the soil quality, sometimes to the extent that the land becomes waste. Organic coffee cultivation, as mentioned earlier, is eco-friendly and does minimal harm to the environment. Most of the time, organic coffee is cultivated under canopy shades (generally known as 'shade-grown coffee'), and so it brings down the problems of deforestation and water contamination.
If you have often wondered what's brewing in the coffee shops and the reasons why people flock to these places, well, there's more out there than you can ever imagine. The enticing aroma of this beverage can beckon even those who are not really addicted to it. This simple beverage has now turned into a lifestyle for many. Youngster's love spending time at coffee shops and young professionals are even known to have important business meetings in these swanky outlets.
The benefits of shade grown organic coffee are many. Traditionally, all coffee used to be shade grown, but newer hybrids of coffee introduced to increase the production, were found to tolerate sunlight better. As requirements increased, farmers cut down the trees which provide shade, stripping forest cover to meet demand and depleting natural soil reserves. This in turn, affected the availability of animal habitat, causing severe decline in animal and bird population in addition to already serious environmental issues. Shade-grown coffee benefits the soil by maintaining forest cover, which in turn maintains bird and animal habitat, and reduces soil erosion. In terms of taste, it is by far superior; as the beans mature slower, and the taste is more intense. Shade-grown coffee is often organically grown.
