Now, I can already hear you arguing that even an ottoman will fit into a small space; but think about it. An ottoman, by virtue of its mere construction, is a bulky item. Even if it is not completely upholstered and has just a cushion on top, it is puffed and definitely looks bulkier. Plus, remember that point about losing out on space because you have to set a tray on it? Well, imagine a small ottoman, then you vying for space for four glasses. A coffee table will get rid of all these problems. Moreover, if you have a glass coffee table, it will look lighter in the small space and make the space appear slightly larger.
Caffeine is a white, crystalline xanthine alkaloid that is bitter in taste. It is a psychoactive stimulant drug, which was discovered by the German chemist Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge. This compound is found in varying quantities in coffee beans and tea leaves. In humans, it acts as a stimulant for the Central Nervous System. It temporarily wards off drowsiness and restores alertness. To put it in one sentence, caffeine stimulates our senses. Its content in coffee depends on the type of coffee beans used, and the method of preparation. Similarly, its levels in tea also depend on the quality of the tea leaves, the growing conditions, processing techniques, and strength of the brew.
Egypt, a primarily tea-drinking nation, calls its coffee ahwa, a potent drink, with (ariha - little sugar, mazboot - moderate amount of sugar and ziyada - very sweet) or without sugar (sadda). Egyptian men often have a favorite coffee shop, where they enjoy the shisha, ahwa, and a game of backgammon or chess with their friends. Egyptian coffee might taste a bit sour, due to the local beans, but it can be masked by adding sugar.
Caffeine present in coffee acts as an excellent stimulant for our body. It stimulates our senses and enhances the rate of metabolism. Thus, it makes us mentally alert, physically energetic, and improves our general performance. Those who are dealing with short term memory loss can benefit from caffeine by drinking a cup of java everyday. It is well-known that coffee has the natural ability to tackle mood swings, depression, and hangovers. Research shows that coffee can reduce blood sugar level in diabetic patients. As it increases the rate of metabolism, it ensures faster break down and assimilation of the glucose molecules in the body. Coffee intake can reduce the risk of several serious ailments such as gallstones, Parkinson's disease, cardiovascular diseases, and liver cirrhosis.
