Success stories from Russell County High School

Within the past few years we have collectively trained over 50 students to become certified nursing assistants, medical assistants, and pharmacy technicians. Of those 50, 45 are working in areas of concentration and attending institutions of higher learning pursing advanced professions and degrees in Nursing, Medicine, and Pharmaceuticals. 30% of those students are working and giving back right here in the local community. Those students are currently employed at Walgreens Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy, Canterbury Nursing Facility, Phenix City Health Care, Freedom Home Care, and other area healthcare facilities. We currently have a 90% success rate on the CNA State examination.  I am looking forward to making this program bigger than it’s ever been and giving students the opportunity to flourish in these wonderful careers.
